Dover Street Market, London

I took the train to London for the first time this weekend and it was a great experience. Quick and super convenient. One of my favourite stores in London is Dover Street Market. It is a bit like Colette in Paris, but much less touristic. They have a huge collection of Commes des Garcons and on the top floor they have a small cafe. This store is well worth a visit for inspiration, not only for the items in the store, but also because of the customers and the people who work there. It is one the most stylish crowds I have ever seen.....

Joy, 38 Rue du Roi de Sicile

I walked by this small store on the outskirts of the Marais just the other day and had to walk in. Joy Boutique is a multibrand store that has a lot of great brands such as Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, See by Chloé and the Danish brand By Malene Birger. They also sell some very cute bijoux from Les Delices de Candice.
I will definitely have to come back....

Shine, 15 Rue de Poitou

I like shopping and I like multibrand stores. In Paris this can be a little difficult to find as most stores seem to only carry one brand. Shine is one of my favourite stores in Paris and it sells brands like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Mulberry, See by Chloé, Repetto etc. I like the style they have and the service has always been really good. It is always good to go and see what new items have just arrived...

Les Papilles, 30 Rue Gay Lussac

This weekend I went for lunch at the restaurant Les Papilles. I had been there in April as well, so I knew the food would be amazing. At Les Pailles they have a set menu with 4 courses, so you can't choose on your own. I kind a prefer this as it makes me try new things. The idea behind the restaurant is simple food of high quality and great wines. The food is really, really good and you will not leave the table hungy. I know this is one of the restaurants in Paris I will keep coming back to....

Caffé dei Cioppi, 159 Rue de Faubourg St Antoine

Yesterday evening I went to this Italian restaurant down a little alley from Rue de Faubourg St Antoine. It is a small restaurant that only seats around 18 people at a time, but the atmosphere is cosy and the food is just great. We sat at the kitchen bar and could follow the chef as he was preparing the meals and everything looked mouth-watering. I had the best dessert - panna cotta with caramel and pears.....

The Macaron quest II - Maison Larnicol, St. Paul metro

A few days ago I tried the macarons from the this rather amazing chocolat store and they are really good. They were so fresh they melted when I ate them and the store has some amazing flavours such as caramel and salted butter, rose and abricot. Besides the macarons the store also displays some very unique chocolat sculptures. So far this is the number one place to buy macarons in Paris....

L'Estaminet des enfanst rouge, 39, Rue de Bretagne

This tiny restaurant in the Marché des Enfants Rouge makes an incredible place to eat lunch. I have stopped by twice and had the "Plat du jour". Both times it has been really good, simple food and the prices are very reasonable. I like the atmosphere as it is a very relaxing and all the food is bio. A perfect place to go after after all the shopping...

Marché des Enfants Rouges, 39 Rue de Bretagne

I went to the oldest covered marked in Paris for the first time last week, and I have already been there 3 times. It is small, but very cosy and a great place to have lunch or stop for a snack. Today I tried the food from the Maroccan place and it was delicious and very fair priced. On weekends it is pretty packed, but it is worth the wait...

Le Comptoir du Relais, 5 Carrefour de l'Odeon

One of my absolute favorite resaturants in Paris is the Le Comptoir du Relais in the 6th arrondissement. They have an extensive menu in french so it can be difficult to choose, but you can hardly go wrong with anything on it. I always go for one of their many varitions of foie gras, and everything has been delicious so far. A little warning though - they do have bloodsausage on the menu...
