Finger in the nose, 60 rue de Saintonge

I don't have any kids, just 6 nephews and nieces, so I am not really updated about kidswear, but I stumled upon this brand called "Finger in the nose". I think this is the coolest kidswear I have ever seen. I just love the skinny jeans and the rock and roll attitude. I kind of wish they made stuff for adults as well....

Lingeri guide part 2: Odile de Changy, 6 rue du pont aux choux

In Marais I have several times walked by this little lingerie store called Odile de Changy. They make beautiful retro inspired, lace lingerie, in amazing colours. Everything is super feminine and at the same time a bit sexy. I love this about Paris that you can stumble upon new stores all the time....

Le Chateaubriand, 129 Avenue Parmentier

Le Chateaubriand is a restaurant I have been wanting to try for a long time. I have read a lot about it and the reviews have been a little mixed. For me the experience was very interesting in the sense that I ate some things I had never tried before. It was an adventures meal and it had its moments, but maybe I am just not sofisticated enough to really appreciate it. I had a good time, but I don't think it is a place I will go back to anytime soon....

Grazie, 91 Boulevard Beaumarchais

Grazie is the new hip pizza/cocktail plaze in the 3rd arrondissement owned by Julien Cohen, the son of Merci owner located just down the street. The restarant has a funky vibe and is an excellent plaze for an evening out. The decor is very industriel with a New York feel to it and it is always crowded - so be sure to make reservations. The pizzas are expensive, but delicious....

Madame Grès Exhibition, Musée Bourdelle

Yesterday I went to the Madame Grès Exhibition at the Musée Bourdelle. I had not heard about her before, but I was really surprised at how beautiful and timeless her design was. She established her own haute couture house in 1942 and was famouse for her drapings. The exhibition was amazing and I would encourage everyone with a thing for haute couture to visit it soon....

Lingeri guide part 1: Princesse Tam Tam

I am a sucker for nice lingeri as I used to have my own lingeri store in Copenhagen - that was the days. France have the best selection of brands and stores in the world, but it can be difficult to navigate so I thought I would make a mini guide of the ones I like and know are good from experience. Princesse Tam Tam is one of my favourites. They make cute lingeri with nice details such as bows and stars. This season I really like their swimwear, as they keep it fairly simple without being boring. And the best part is the low prices....

Café des Musées, 49 rue de Turenne

Café des Musées is a typical french restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is one of the best value for money places you will find in Paris. It is a place we had recommend as a good, but affordable "everyday" restaurant. They have a three course menu for 20 Euros, but we decided to go à la carte. The portions are fairly big, so doing more than two courses actually turned out be a bit of a challenge and for once I actually had to skip the dessert. It is not the best food I have had in Paris, but if you are looking for something, where you can got food at a good price, then this is one of the best places I have been so far....

Rosa Bonheur Bar, Parc Buttes Chaumont

Yesterday afternoon I went to meet some friends at the Rosa Bonheur Bar inside the Parc Buttes Chaumont. It is a really cosy hangout spot when the weather is good and you just want to sit in the sun and have a drink. We got their around 16 o'clock and it was still pretty relaxed, but later in the evening the place gets super packed with people and they turn the inside of the bar into a dancefloor. It has the feeling of a streetparty and everyone just stands around talking and dancing. For a summernigth out in Paris this is definitely one of my favourites....

South of France

Though I low being in Paris, going out of the city for a few days is highly recommendeble. I spent Easter in the South of France and there are a lot of beautifull cities to visit such as Avignon, Gordes, Aix en Provence and Gigondas. The sky was clear and you could hear the birds sing....

Le Cinq V, 31 George Avenue V

 Small appetizer

Entrées

This sunday I went for lunch at the famouse two michelin star restaurant the Le Cinq V at the Georg V Hotel. Just walking into the hotel is an experience in good service and it is surprising how many people greets you on your way to the dining room.
The decor is beautiful and the flower decorations are really spectacular.
The experience is something I won't forget. It wasn't just about the food being amazing, but also the service which was very good, but relaxed at the same time.

Main courses

Desserts
Sweets for the coffee
Before we left the ladies got a little something to bring home to remember the experience by. If anyone are thinking about a trip to Le Cinq V, I can only highly recommend it. Though I have to save up for awhile I hope it is not the last time I go to this amazing restaurant...

Canal St Martin

When it is warm in Paris going to the Canal St Martin is a nice relaxing thing to do. The area is packed and very lively with lots of Parisiens sitting by the water. If you walk further up the Canal towards Parc de la Villette the Canal gets a bit wider and there are lots of areas to play Petanque and have a beer. It seems to be the Parisien thing do in the sun....
